Sue is the founder and CEO of The Collaborative Action Network which aims to accelerate the pace of change on corporate responsibility and collaboration, to help make the world a better place. Focused on corporate responsibility, ESG, sustainability and the SDGs, Sue works with business and charities to help develop and drive an organisation's purpose, and to create enduring profitable partnerships. As the former International Director of Business in the Community (BITC), Sue pioneered, built the business case for and established Cause Related Marketing in the UK, Europe and around the world and authored a large body of work on the corporate responsibility agenda including Cause Related Marketing, Who Cares Wins (Butterworth Heinemann). Sue set up the international arm of BITC, engaging with FTSE 100 and equivalent businesses in the UK and around the world. She inspired and worked with business and charities on international corporate responsibility, building collaborative partnerships. She led business awareness, understanding and action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), developed awards on the SDGs, Cause Related Marketing, a pan European Employee Volunteering and the inaugural pan European Corporate Responsibility Award. Sue also developed the CSR360° Global Partner Network and created the Global Relief and Resilience Hub.
