At the Kurt Geiger Kindness Foundation we are on a mission to build a more inclusive creative industry by providing young people with the support, skills and opportunities they need to overcome barriers. We believe there is a wealth of talent that deserves to be supported into fulfilling creative careers – in fashion and beyond.

Our first step was supporting grassroots charities, rooted in their local communities, to empower young people and spark creativity. From there, we saw the value in sharing our own knowledge to drive direct impact, leading to the creation of Business by Design (BBD) - an innovative, learning programme transforming access to creative careers for underrepresented Londoners aged 18-20. To date, Kurt Geiger has raised over £2 million, enabling the Kindness Foundation to fully fund Business by Design Academy. BBD is a free, all expenses-paid, 7-month long programme, co-designed by young people, for young people. It equips students with AQA-accredited unit award qualifications, 200+ hours of learning, paid work experience, mentorship, and the confidence to thrive in an industry where diversity is long overdue. “I applied whilst working at a pub - it’s changed everything.” - Mabel, BBD graduate and now Kurt Geiger Marketing Coordinator.
