The Community RePaint Network

Dulux

Client: The Community RePaint Network

According to the British Coatings Federation, the UK wastes an estimated 55m litres of paint annually. Community RePaint is the leading circular solution to leftover paint through redistribution and remanufacturing leftover paint to those in need.

The network was launched through funding provided by Dulux in 1993 and has been solely sponsored by Dulux since 2008. Community RePaint reduces paint waste by collecting leftover paint and redirecting it from landfill by providing it at affordable prices to those in need. Furthermore, Dulux brought together Community RePaint with expert partners to create ReColour, an innovative remanufactured paint made from leftover paint of all colours.

Together, we have redistributed 5.4 million litres of paint to individuals and community projects through a growing network of 80 schemes nationwide. That’s enough paint to cover the UK’s 28 million household front doors or paint a 1-meter track all around the UK! 2024 alone saw 371,374 litres of paint redistributed, leading to 415,540 lives brightened to date.

In October 2024, Dulux celebrated an incredible milestone for the Community RePaint’s branch in Wirral: redistributing its 1 millionth litre of remanufactured paint since opening 11 years ago – enough paint to cover Big Ben over 2,000 times!
