Power Hours

Deloitte UK

Client: Young Women’s Trust

Power Hours is a collaboration between Young Women’s Trust and Deloitte. It supports young women aged 18-30 in developing professional networks and skills to succeed at work. The programme includes online workshops, guest speakers, and peer discussions, helping participants gain confidence, identify career goals, and build networks.

From the initial co-design phase with young women, through to prototyping and running pilot programmes, Deloitte has played a key role for over two years by providing funding, employee volunteering, and strategic guidance. This includes advising on the programme’s design, delivering content, and offering expertise on commercialisation to ensure long-term sustainability.

The initiative has supported 221 young women so far. Outcomes include a 60% increase in peer networks, 75% of participants understanding the steps needed to improve their careers, and 95% reporting increased confidence.

The partnership is mutually beneficial. Young Women’s Trust has expanded its services, while Deloitte has advanced its diversity and inclusion goals. Moving forward, Young Women’s Trust aims to integrate Power Hours into its core services and generate sustainable income by selling the service to employers. Power Hours will support thousands of young women in the years to come, and create sustainable unrestricted income, helping to safeguard the charity’s future.
