KPMG and the Talent Foundry (TTF), a charity committed to supporting young people from underserved communities prepare for work, have worked together since 2018 to drive opportunity for those from lower socio-economic backgrounds across the UK, in the places that need it most.

We work collaboratively to improve social mobility in communities throughout the UK by developing a unique offer to schools:

1. Nationwide technology-led programme ‘WorkReady’ in areas of high deprivation.

2. Collaboration to power social mobility: in 2021 we joined with ICEAW, 5 of the big accountancy firms and TTF to found Rise, we work together to develop essential skills and help students in social mobility cold spots better understand career pathways into our industry.

3. Bold target: In 2023, KPMG UK set a new community target; to give one million young people the opportunity to develop their skills by 2030. As part of this we have been working with TTF to invite thousands of young people into our offices to take part in two-hour world of work sessions. In 2024 this has also seen us collaborate with other businesses.

In FY24, KPMG supported over 330,000 young people including over 9000 supported specifically through our work
