Client: Save the Children UK
In 2021, Norton Rose Fulbright embarked on its first strategic charitable partnership with leading independent children’s organisation, Save the Children UK. The three-year partnership aims to address the most pressing and complex barriers to children’s progress, including challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and social injustice. Through volunteering, fundraising and pro bono work, the firm has worked with Save the Children UK on a number of projects as part of the partnership. This included becoming an inception partner of its Safe Back to School programme to support children returning to school following the Covid-19 pandemic, and advising pro bono on a Shariah-compliant fundraising policy enabling the charity to receive Zakat. To date, the firm has dedicated 1,846 pro bono hours to Save the Children UK.
