Newcastle Building Society are the North East’s largest building society with 30 branches across the North East, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. They are a purpose-led, member owned organisation and aim to connect communities with a better financial future.

Independent charity Newcastle United Foundation was established in 2007 as a response to the needs and challenges facing local and uses the passion for Newcastle United to motivate and inspire people to be more active, learn new skills, be more employable and to reach their potential.

In July 2020, Newcastle United Foundation entered a six-year partnership worth £1.1 million with Newcastle Building Society, becoming Regional Community Partner to support the Foundations’ flagship employability programme NUFutures which will: •Support 12,000 young adults, teenagers, and schoolchildren annually to engage in education, skills and careers activities. •Support 200 disadvantaged young people aged 16-25 into employment •Support 80 young people annually to boost skills levels in North of Tyne •Boost local employment levels with creation of 43 new apprenticeship jobs.
