Macmillan and Greene King have been in partnership since 2012, focussed on supporting people affected by cancer in the communities both organisations serve.

Our brands have immense synergy by being pillars of the community and providing top-quality customer-focussed service. Our partnership has always been mutually beneficial, with Greene King drawing on their expertise within the food and beverage sector to raise vital funds for Macmillan, whilst diversifying themselves from competitors and increasing brand affinity. Together we have achieved incredible results, culminating in reaching the £20million fundraising milestone in 2024.

For over a decade, Greene King’s donations have funded Macmillan’s healthcare professionals, including our iconic Macmillan nurses. One-to-one support from a dedicated cancer nurse can make a huge difference to people throughout their cancer journey as they are guided through complex health systems. The £3.9million raised in 2024 could pay for more than 100,000 hours of support from Macmillan Nurses, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential support.

This record-breaking fundraising total was achieved with focus on Greene King’s two biggest strengths: stellar service and quality products, as we diversified our revenue streams to focus on bespoke beer campaigns alongside trusted methods like menu promotions and pub fundraising.
