KPMG and The Talent Foundry: Opening Doors to Opportunities

KPMG and the Talent Foundry (TTF), a charity committed to supporting young people from underserved communities prepare for work, have worked together since 2018 to drive opportunity for those from lower socio-economic backgrounds across the UK, in the places that need it most.

Since 2018, we’ve worked collaboratively to improve social mobility in communities throughout the UK by developing a unique offer to schools: 1. Began with nationwide technology-led programme ‘WorkReady’ in areas of high deprivation. 2. Collaboration to power social mobility: in 2021 we joined with ICEAW, 5 of the big accountancy firms and TTF to found Rise, we work together to develop essential skills and help students in social mobility cold spots better understand career pathways into our industry. 3. Bold new target: Last year KPMG UK set a new community target; to give one million young people the opportunity to develop their skills by 2030. As part of this we embarked on a new project with TTF, by inviting thousands of students a year into our offices for ‘world of work’ visits. In FY23, KPMG supported over 170,000 young people including +6,100 supported specifically through our work with TTF.
