Heart of West London
Brentford FC and partners
Client: Brentford FC and partners
It’s a cause that’s close to home. The sudden passing of our Technical Director, Robert Rowan, aged 28 due to a fatal cardiomyopathy episode in 2018 reminded us of the indiscriminate nature of cardiac health issues. Brentford is also a ‘cardiac hotspot’ with high cardiac arrest rates, yet public CPR awareness and defibrillator access is low.
To honour Rob's memory and actively combat this silent epidemic, the Heart of West London partnership unites six organisations and charities with a common goal – to save lives. Through our partnership, we’re fighting back for our community, by funding life-saving research into cardiovascular disease, delivering free heart screenings in our community to identify and refer at-risk young people, and equipping west London with the skills to administer and teach CPR.
In 2024, we delivered over 200 free heart screenings, equipped our community with life-saving CPR skills and raised £30,000 for ground-breaking research into cardiac death in young adults.
We’re dedicated to making Brentford a healthier community. For Robert, for west London, for every beating heart.
