GAMA Healthcare leads the field of infection prevention technology. Its purpose: to help prevent infections, to save and improve lives. We are a values-driven business and live by our purpose. Last year, GAMA Healthcare embarked upon a journey of rapid growth. With an anticipated doubling of our headcount, we recognised the need to partner with charities that share our mission. With a budget of £200,000 for the year, we engaged staff in a series of challenges to help tackle infection prevention.

Our charity initiatives included a virtual “Race around the World” with WaterAid, a “Move4Sepsis” challenge with the Sepsis Trust, a water-based obstacle course with the Aydin Foundation and a fun hub where employees were invited to become kids again with Save the Children. For each initiative we unlocked funds from our charity budget - for example, for every three kilometres travelled in the “Race around the World”, GAMA donated five pounds to WaterAid. All initiatives had a virtual component, and challenges varied from sporty through to creative ideas, so something for everyone to get involved with. By supporting charities that share our purpose, vision and values we actively help communities around the world and save lives through infection prevention.
