Corndel & Hospice UK Levy Gifting Partnership

Corndel

Client: Hospice UK

A pioneering collaboration between Corndel and Hospice UK is transforming the hospice sector by equipping professionals with critical data, leadership, and fundraising skills. Enabled by over £1.17 million in gifted Apprenticeship Levy funds, this initiative has provided 94 hospice professionals from 64 hospices with fully funded, high-quality training, strengthening their ability to deliver sustainable, data-driven patient care.

Hospices face growing financial and operational challenges, with 88% of charities citing financial sustainability as a critical concern. By leveraging Corndel’s Levy Gifting Initiative, this programme ensures essential training reaches hospice teams that would not otherwise have access to development opportunities. Delivered in partnership with Imperial College Business School, the programme offers cutting-edge learning designed to fit around the demands of hospice professionals.

The impact is profound: 87% of data apprentices are female, improving gender diversity in tech roles, while 100% of learners in homelessness and youth charities are completing functional skills training—five times the national average.

The Hospice Data Academy demonstrates the power of skills-based corporate-charity partnerships, setting a new standard for Levy gifting and sustainable workforce development in the third sector.
