Together Leeds Building Society and Dementia UK are bringing specialist dementia support closer to those who need it through virtual and face-to-face clinics in Leeds Building Society branches across the UK. This is the Closer to Home project.

As part of our commitment to customer vulnerability we’re working in partnership with Dementia UK, the only specialist dementia nursing charity that is here for the whole family. We've combined Dementia UK’s nursing expertise with Leeds Building Society's branches and community connections to offer free, accessible and confidential dementia clinics. In 2023, we delivered 400 appointments in branches and online which is 24,000 minutes of direct support. This has transformed access to vital advice and support for families living with dementia. There is currently no cure for dementia, and families are often left without the support they need. This is where Admiral Nurses come in. Together, we’re making sure that no family faces dementia alone.
