Charity Partnership – Banks & Financial Services

Reliance Bank

Client: The Salvation Army

Reliance Bank was founded by The Salvation Army in 1890. We are proud of our shareholder The Salvation Army International whose mission it is to help people whose lives have been affected by emergencies, disasters, poverty and social inequality. We call it giving money meaning.

Reliance Bank has donated £8M to The Salvation Army, this money has been used to support evangelical and charitable work both in the UK and abroad over the last 15 years.

We have recently launched Charity Giving Savings Accounts where we will pay a percentage of the advertised interest rate to The Salvation Army in the UK. These contributions will help to provide essential services to people, including support for the homeless, job training, debt advice, emergency relief and community outreach. This work will empower individuals and families to rebuild their lives and succeed.

Reliance Bank provides lending to support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals - a blueprint to help reduce poverty, protect the planet’s future and improve lives.

Our funding helped reduce hunger for 2,100 people and reduce poverty for 545 people, provided 2,900 people with community centres and facilities and 443 people have received personal learning and development opportunities.
