B&Q proudly support initiatives that make a difference in our communities. In the last year, we raised over £3.1m and donated more than 100,000 surplus products to local good causes. This year, a new volunteering policy was introduced giving every store and head office team the opportunity to complete a volunteering project. This resulted in more than 1,600 colleagues coming together to complete projects – revamping spaces for charities across the UK and Ireland. At B&Q, we’re committed to helping people improve their home to make life better. We know the difference the colour on the walls, or the carefully chosen picture or plant can make to how we feel within a home or space. We also know that it can be hard for charities to prioritise and fund these types of projects. By donating our products and our colleagues’ DIY expertise and time, we’ve been able to help charities provide better spaces for people in need.
